Epic Heroes and Erotic Encounters...
In an ancient world of heroes and monsters beautiful Calisto, a sacred concubine of Aphrodite, sets out on a journey to kill the mythical beast known as Medusa. She and the six Greek warriors who accompany her as both protectors and lovers, seek to plunder the treasures of the creature's temple and capture the legendary flying horse, Pegasus. The adventurers have a dangerous task ahead, as Medusa possesses more weapons than arrows and venom, for her serpentine beauty is both alluring and deadly.
This story and others is collected in the anthology SEX & VIOLENCE which is available now.

The warriors are seeking to make true the legend of Pegasus, but Calisto agrees because she wants a share of the treasure on the island. As a concubine to Aphrodite, Calisto is well able to service the warriors on their journey though she decrees they must pay her for her services. An agreement is made and the journey begins. But will it end the way they all hope?
The monster part of this isn’t a very large part. It’s mostly a mythological tale of adventure with some steamy sex thrown in. The monster part is where Medusa takes advantage of the tasty treats on her island, but it’s a very small part of the whole. I’ve always enjoyed mythology, so even though this isn’t your typical monster porn, I did enjoy the tale. I wasn’t very satisfied with the ending though. It left me wanting.

Taken by Medusa A Bronze Age Romance Sex Violence eBook Amanda Close Reviews
Too many long, blocky paragraphs made this difficult to read. After the first couple of pages, I found myself skimming the rest of the story.
Given an offer by a client in the brothel where she works, Calisto decides, as a free woman (not married, i.e. not a slave and can therefore make her own choices in life) to take the offer to trick the great Medusa and kill her, taking over her temple. Joining the crew of 6 pirates (Hell, that sounds like a good time!) she journeys out. Not everything goes according to plan in regards to killing the great Medusa, but there's plenty of sword fighting action, sexy action, and girl power in the end as the ladies join forces. Cute little read.
